Shipping and Purchasing Questions
Q. Is it safe to shop at doodlebugpump.com?
A. Yes. Credit card transactions are handled by a third-party financial institution, which receives the credit card number and other personal identifying information only to verify the credit card numbers and process transactions. We use the latest encryption technology to keep your personal information safe. All your ordering information -- including your name, address, and credit card number -- is encrypted using a secure server for maximum security. Your credit card and billing information cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system. If you feel more comfortable doing so, you are welcome to call in your credit card information and complete your purchase by phone.
Q. What about my privacy?
A. We want your shopping experience to be worry-free. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. When you order, we need to know your name, email address, and mailing address. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status. The DB Pump may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (1) comply with law, (2) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements due to fraud, or (3) protect the rights, property, or safety of doodlebugpump.com, our users, or others.
Q. Shipping Costs?
A. Our standard delivery is normally done with ground UPS. If the item(s) being shipped exceeds UPS limits (due to weight or size) we will ship it by other means (typically motor fgt.)
In the Continental U.S., our shipping charges are based on the price of the products and we charge 8% of the total amount of your order. We also charge a $3.50 handling charge for any size order.
This makes it easy for you to calculate your shipping charges
We attempt to keep your freight charges to a minimum. If you compare our net price with freight, you will find our price is often cheaper than so-called “freight free” shippers.
Q. I want to ship as cheaply as possible.
A. Our shipping charges are not on what it costs us, but rather on 8% of your total order.
In our experience, we have found this method works out best for you and us. This way you can immediately determine if you are saving money or not by buying from us. You will immediately know the shipping costs. You will not have to wait until you receive your bill or have to wait until we figure it out for you.
In reality, on average, it costs us slightly more than 8% to ship the product to you.
If you want the lowest rate (and are in the Continental U.S.) then simply chose "standard" shipping.
Q. How long does it take to ship once the order is received?
A. We can typically deliver the product to your door within 5-7 days of receiving your order(It could take up to 10 days - This depends a great deal on the shipper).
We will either ship from our facility or directly from the nearest factory distribution point. This decision is based on two considerations: (1) to save transit time and (2) to keep freight costs to a minimum.
However, there are times when a product must ship from a more distant warehouse a take a few days longer to arrive. If there is a significant delay we will advise you. If you wish, you may select a faster method of delivery. This charge will be based on actual cost(whatever UPS establishes)
Q. What about sales tax?
A. We are located in the State of California; only orders shipped within the State are subject to sales tax.
Q. What if I want to return a product?
A. New equipment in original cartons returned within 30 days will be assessed a 15% handling fee.
What if I have a warranty problem?
A. All of our products are warrantey against manufacting defects for a minimum of one year from date of purchase. Some products carry a longer warranty.
Warranty returns will be handled on a claim-by-claim basis, and the customer is responsible for freight fees.
This does not cover mis-application or abuse. It is your responsibility to determine if a particular product will be suitabe for your particular needs. Upon request, we will attempt to assist you in making this decision by providing available addition information to allow you to make an informed choice.
Ultimately, the final decision is yours.
